Ortahisar House, is one of the most authentic houses of the village with its stone and troglodyte rooms which have been decorated with utmost loyalty to the original.
The house consists of six rooms in two storeys in total, four troglodyte and two stone built. As a characteristic of the stone and the rocks, the rooms have a natural cool climate during summer, whereas they remain warm during winter.
The terrace has a lovely view of the Ortahisar Fortress as well as the valleys winding towards Ibrahimpasa. The house is located at a few minutes’ walk to the center of the village filled with coffee houses and local market. The panoramic viewpoint of Kizilcukur, the favorite spot for watching the Cappadocian sunset, is two kilometers to the house. Similarly Goreme Outdoor Museum is only a short walk away.
All rooms have shower, WC, and 24-hour hot water. Breakfast is served for the guests as well as the typical fresh fruits of the region. The owner of the house, an enolog from the University of Bordeaux, welcomes the guests with special selections from his cave.
